Relax and take it easy.

JUNE23_relax Everyone I know gets crabby or ill-spirited when they are tired. The best action that we ought to consider as a favor to our loved ones is to take a break or possibly even take a nap. Resting is a mood lifter and it helps us to maintain our upbeat, mood-lifting energy and it lowers our blood pressure. I know I would rather have quality time with my friends and family members who took the time to take care of themselves and relaxed a bit more. Wouldn’t you?

During the summer months, we are all so active and engaged in many outdoor events. We are all really busy utilizing and enjoying the most of the long days that we have! In combination with all the extra activity, many of us are experiencing extreme heat where we live. All of this will deplete our energy reserves. In nature, animals rest during the heat of the day. It is during these times that we really need to slow down, grab a cold refreshment and take a break. If possible, we may want to consider adding a nap into our summer routine. By giving ourselves permission to relax and take it easy, we are fostering our reserves and nurturing ourselves, so we have the energy and strength to be the best people we can be for our loved ones. A little rest goes a long way and it will make everyone happier!
