To say YES to your BLISS, we need to say NO to all those things that squeeze on our time and energy that do not give us bliss. Yes, there are things we NEED to do for our (bare) necessities that may not bring us bliss, which I will address in a future article. Today, let us focus on those things we can change. We could examine how we spend our time; but, why? For a private shaming. Who needs a guilt trip; we don’t need to go down that road. Instead, let us look at what is really important to us.
What is important to you? I mean really, really important; not just fairly significant. Is it your health and fitness? Is it your spiritual life? Is it your romantic, social, or family life? Is it your career or your financial situation? List all those things you desire, if you had all the time in the world to do. Then, rank them against each other. Which 1 or 2 do you really, really want to do that would bring you the greatest happiness? What do you really, really want to accomplish? Now, put them on your daily agenda. Schedule and commit to them (and yourself) …even if it is chunked down to only 15, 10, or 5 minutes.
Doing a little something that brings you a bit of daily bliss is way better than a whole lot of nothing (but regret) if you cannot move past the concept of needing a big block of time for your bliss. THEN, truly dedicate yourself to those 5, 10 or more minutes. Make it a daily obligation. Make it part of your routine. Do it every day! Make it a habit. For each day you follow through, you are saying YES to your BLISS. And, it will feel FABULOUS!
