What is not started today is never finished tomorrow. ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
ALL day Sunday, April 17, 2016, I spent in Washington D. C. participating in the Democracy Awakening rally and march on the U. S. Capital. Big money politics has been gnawing on me more and more in this election year. So, when the opportunity came where I could take some action, I jumped on it.
In the Democracy Awakening rally, we stood together (over 180 organizations and a tapestry of amazing, diverse people) to address protecting voting rights, getting big money out of politics and demanding a fair hearing with an up or down vote on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee. This is a beginning to a BIG movement. Our democracy MUST be accessible to ALL and not beholden to big money/corporate interests.
